Newport Wooden Boat Show, at Bowen’s Wharf in Newport, RI, September 13 to 16, covers a half mile of the Newport waterfront with in-water and land displays of Hinckley, Hunt and other Down East-style boats. Exhibitors include : Arey’s Pond; Ballentine’s Boat Shop with the stunningly restored 46-foot Power Cruiser, Ariel II; First Light Boatworks, Gansett Cruises, and Schooner Aquidneck & and Sightsailing Newport, along with Nantucket Bagg Co & Strong Firearms Company. Monelle, Sheldon Fine Art, and other specialty businesses will round out the show. The Wooden Boat Show runs concurrently with Newport International Boat Show.
Come enjoy live Caribbean Music with Panoramic View, the folk duo Atwater Donnelly, and waterfront bars daily where proceeds support Oliver Hazard Perry Tall Ship. Show hours: daily, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Bowen’s Wharf parking lot will be open during the show. Parking will be at a flat rate of $50 from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. After 6:30 pm there will be an additional charge of $25. Passes will be issued on a first come first serve basis. Map.
