The annual Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at beautiful Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, Rhode Island, is absolutely one of the very best fall events in all of New England, and it seems to get better with each passing year. The carving artistry and landscaping of the jacks is out of this world. It’s one of those events that is a pure delight to adults and kids.
The 2018 show displays 5,000 carved pumpkins displaying wizards, tall tales, famous characters of legend, heroes, and people who changed our world. Trail is fully accessible to strollers, wagons and wheel chairs. The Zoo’s phone is 401-785-3510. Map.
It is smart to look over the Spectacular’s website and choose a day and time that works well for you. The event draws big crowds but the organizers have come up with ways to manage the flow of people.
