Highfield Hall & Gardens is a restored 1878 Victorian mansion surrounded by 400 acres of gardens, walking trails, a Beech Tree Path, and outdoor art.
On June 30 Highfield Hall hosts an open house featuring a massive art project: Stickwork, by Patrick Dougherty, a woven object made from 18,000 pounds of willow saplings.
(If you cannot attend the open house, remember that visitors are welcome to the house and gardens daily except Mondays, from April 15 to October 31)
At the June 30 open house, enjoy the monumental Stickwork sculpture, along with two other new boundary-pushing art exhibits:
Also at the open house, you can hear music by the Steve Ahern and Michael Oakland Duo. Create your own knotted keychain or Steampunk collage. Tour the historic mansion.
