River Glow at Westerly, RI, and Pawcatuck, CT, on August 3 — Downtown Westerly-Pawcatuck and the Pawcatuck River comes to life for performances and floating bonfires on the Pawcatuck River, food and festivities. Entertainment includes Alter Ego, fire juggler Keith Leaf , Midnight Irish Mercy Brown Band and Rapunzel. Also, karate, dance demos and hayrides. 7-10 p.m.
Summer Dog Party at Dog Mountain, St. Johnsbury, VT, on August 3– Dogs and humans are welcome at Dog Mountain to enjoy live music by The Barnyard Incident; burgers, burritos, and more by Vermont Food Truck Company; family and pet portraits; dog contests, bounce house, lawn games and more. The Summer Dog Party is held rain or shine. Noon-4 p.m.
