A summer outdoor concert by master musicians packed with cheerful music-loving people from across the community can be a beautiful thing.
If you’re unsure, check out this video of the Rhode Island Philharmonic performing in 2018 at the Temple to Music in Roger Williams Park in Providence RI (sponsored by the Rhode Island Foundation) and the still pictures from that evening, shown below.
That concert is coming up again, tomorrow, August 8, 2019, at the same location, at 7 p.m. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy rousing favorites led by Rhode Island Philharmonic’s Conductor Francisco Noya. The orchestra will play two 45-minute sets with a 20-minute intermission. The program is expected to include rousing standards, including the “Star Spangled Banner,” the “1812 Overture,” and many more. A dozen food trucks will be on hand.
See our events page and enjoy the 2018 video. It will brighten your day, guaranteed. Map to park.
