See the restrictions of our pandemic get spun through the imaginations of artists into a remarkable outdoor entertainment at the new and unique Boston Lights: A Lantern Experience, coming to Franklin Park Zoo in Boston from August 21 to November 1.
Hundreds of colorful lanterns are arranged into 50 giant displays across the zoo’s 72 acres. Walk through a glowing 66-foot-long shark tunnel and a 197-foot-long dragon.
Find yourself surrounded by dramatic arches, dazzling gardens, and serene Asian scenes. Kids can make music on a giant step-and-play piano.
Boston Lights honors the biodiversity of planet Earth with displays of snow leopards, Panamanian frogs, exotic turtles and more species that thrive in healthy ecosystems.
The show happens nightly from August 21 to September 7 and Thursdays through Sundays from September 8 through November 1. 6-10:30 p.m.
Tickets are sold advance, online, for specific time slots. Masks for all visitors over age 2 and social distancing are required.
