 Maine

Union Fair and Maine Wild Blueberry Festival in Union. August 19-26, 2017.Taste blueberries in every form your heart could desire, as your browse the livestock shows, midway, parade, fireworks and High Flying Frisbee Dogs. Have you ever seen Lawnmower Drag Racing? Map.

Crown of Maine Balloon Festival in Presque Isle, ME. August 24-27. Have you never been up in a hot-air balloon? It’s the feeling of freedom! Tethered rides are offered. Map.

Vermont

Champlain Valley Fair in Essex Junction. August 25 - September 3. Vermonters revere their farms and their agricultural traditions. Come see the world’s best-tended cows and dip into the midway rides and games, entertainment, and unique fair food. You know Vermont is going to try something new with fried dough. Map.

Massachusetts

Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in Becket, MA, through August 27. Jacob's Pillow, America's longest-running dance festival, brings audiences, dancers, choreographers, composers, teachers, experts and novices together to enjoy the art of dance. The festival closes this weekend with Alumni Day and the Festival Finale, with the ultimate Pillow party after closing weekend performance from The Washington Ballet and The Principles of Uncertainty.  Salem Antique & Classic Boat Festival in Salem, MA. August 26-27. A rare chance to see vintage motor yachts and sailboats of all kinds from elegant 1920s-50s era mahogany runabouts and cabin cruisers to sloops, sharpies, yawls and schooners. Map.

 Plainville Hot Air Balloon Festival in Plainville, CT. August 25-27. Balloon launches before sunrise or at sunset, sometimes called at balloon glow, are a wonderful sight from the field. This festival also offers a craft fair and classic car show. Map.
