Just in time for a sunny Sunday in the forecast, Jack Daniels and DO617 have assembled a list of dog-friendly bars and patio eateries in and near Boston and Cambridge. Everybody – humans and dogs -- can get out together for a sociable meal in the open air. Here are some of Boston’s dog-friendly bars and patios.

The Automatic Food & Drink at 50 Hampshire Street in Cambridge -- This neighborhood pub has a nice, foliage-lined patio and old-fashioned picnic tables accompanied by a classic soundtrack. Belly up with your pup.

Area Four at 500 Technology Square in Kendall --  Pizza innovations include Wellfleet Cherrystone Clam & Bacon pizza. Move over, we’re coming.

Bar Boulud at 776 Boylston Street (Back Bay) -- Bar Boulud, at the Mandarin Hotel, goes the extra miles by offering doggy menu and props for picture-taking fun.

Brendan Behan Pub at 378 Centre Street (Jamaica Plain) -- Brendan Behan Pub welcomes your dog indoors (just in case of rain, but we’re not thinking about that). The pub doesn’t serve food, but you are welcome to bring in a pizza from Captain Nemo’s (across the street).

Bronwyn at 255 Washington Street (Union Square) -- This German-style tavern and beer garden serves sausages and regional beer and wine. A dog-friendly outdoor patio allows you to slip tiny bits of the good stuff to your four-legged pal.

Cambridge Brewing Company at 1 Kendall Square, Cambridge -- Beer is a featured ingredient in some of the foods served here. Enjoy beer on tap, burgers, pizzas, and seafood. Leashed dogs are welcome in the outdoor patio.

Clink at 215 Charles Street in Boston -- Clink, located inside the Liberty Hotel, was a jail at some point in its history. Today, there’s a dog-friendly lobby area. An bar menu is available.

Five Horses Tavern at 535 Columbus Avenue (South End) -- Five Horses Tavern serves up American favorites, beers from around the world, and a distinctive wine list. Dogs are welcome on the patio.

The Living Room at 101 Atlantic Avenue -- Take in some fresh spring or summer sun near the waterfront. A waterfront dog-friendly patio is the place to enjoy chicken dumplings, sliders, fish tacos, tuna burgers, and grilled salmon. Waterfront, indeed!

Loyal Nine at 660 Cambridge Street (East Cambridge) -- Loyal Nine's cozy East Cambridge outdoor patio is just plain old comfortable and welcoming.

Stephanie's on Newbury at 190 Newbury Street -- This well-known and well-loved eatery has a patio that welcomes all the dogs.
