New England is awash in forests and a love for farming traditions, so the upshot at Christmas time is a multitude of places to choose and buy a Christmas tree. One of our favorite places is Christmas Trees of Vermont, a tree farm on Connecticut River Road (Route 5) in Springfield, VT.

The land has a rich agricultural history dating back to the early Native Americans and it is being farmed by the Kurek Family (which is in the process of moving entirely into certified organic farming).

Choose your Frasier fir and then warm up in the farm’s shop, where you can browse and buy beautiful wreath and use the restrooms. On weekends, the farm hosts visits with Santa, rides of the Jolly Trolley and fire truck, karaoke with Santa and his Elf, a food truck, hot chocolate and baked goods served by the Springfield Humane Society.
