Franklin Country Cider Days is coming up November 3-5 in the central Massachusetts towns of Deerfield, Shelburne Falls, Turners Falls, Ashfield, and Charlemont.

This is such a fun event it gets its own post on our blog.

Who loves cider? Apple pie? A dreamy walk through an orchard in fall? How about a Pub Sing (on Friday, November 3) with live French acoustic dance music and instruction. (BYOC [bring your own cider])

Jump into the many cider-making workshops or tastings, apple-themed cooking demos, orchard tours and information about heirloom apples.

This is also a good time to visit Historic Deerfield, one of the sites of the activities. This weekend, the Open Hearth Cooking Demonstration is about … what else? Pie! And the Historic Trades Demonstration is about early 19th century medical practices.
