Candlelight Dinner at Old Stone House Museum in Brownington, VT. October 21.

Return to a period in the 19th century when families ate dinner by the dim flickering of candles with the fresh produce of their own farms. Enjoy gingerbread, winter vegetables, meat roasted at the hearth, wines, and traditional apple pie. Register online for this romantic dinner that returns to our classic American roots. Map.

Family Halloween 2017 at Billings Farm & Museum in Woodstock, VT. October 29.

Kids love to see how life was lived in the olden days. At this beautiful and hospitable farm, enjoy Halloween antics doughnuts-on-a-string, pumpkin carving, Halloween tales, wagon rides, and lots more. Costume parades at noon and 2 p.m. Farm house and barn are windows to our agricultural past. Map.

 Autumn Tour Weekend 2017 at Kenyon’s Grist Mill in West Kingston. October 21-22.

A real gristmill, making corn meal for a traditional Rhode Island food: johnnycakes. Tour the mill and taste Johnny Cakes and coffee, clam cakes and chowder. Kayak along the Queen's River for a fee. All equipment is provided. Free admission and parking. Map.

 All Things Pumpkin Tour 2017 in Jackson, NH. October 21.

Board at Nestlenook Resort for a horse-drawn sleigh ride through Jackson Village, stopping at five properties to receive a pumpkin food or keepsake. Tour takes you past 16 Return of the Pumpkin People displays. The ride takes just about one hour. Properties include the Inn at Jackson,  the Snowflake Inn, the RiverWood Inn and Flossie's General Store. Map.
