Wear your Steampunk fashions for the costume parade with prizes, Steampunk art, antique bicycling, steam exhibits and more. End the day with a ride to the moon on the Steampunk Express at 3:30 p.m. Time: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Pirate Pop-Up at Bakers Island, offshore from Salem, MA, on August 17 — During a cruise on the Naumkeag to Bakers Island, enjoy sea chanties and hear the chilling stories of pirates and privateers who once sailed these dangerous waters. Once on the island, visitors will enjoy a tour of the light station and a rum tasting from Rumson’s Rum. For guests age 21 and older. Boat tours depart at 10:30 a.m. or 2 p.m.
Green Mountain Bluegrass & Roots Festival at Hunter Park, Manchester, VT, on August 15-18 — This four-day music festival presents bluegrass, roots and Americana music from icons of the industry and up-and-coming artists.
