Ghosts & Legends Trolley Tour, Salem, MA, through Oct. 30 — A sinister and comical guide takes you through the dim streets of Salem and tells stories of witches, ghosts, murder and more. See The House of the Seven Gables, the old cemetery, Winter Island. This frightening, funny, and entertaining ride sells out quickly. Not recommended for kids under age 7.
Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival, Newport, RI, Oct. 19-20 — The festival serves offers fresh, local seafood, along with smoothies, donuts and kettle corn. Live music by Cee Cee & the Riders, the Teledynes (surf rock), CBD ( R&B, rock ‘n’ roll, reggae), The 40 (rock ‘n’ roll), The Z Boys (surf rock, soul, funk), the Copacetics (reggae & ska).
Adonis Puentes and Voice of Cuba Orchestra, The Strand, Rockland, ME, Oct. 18 — Get ready for some hot Latin jazz! Adonis Puentes’s soulful voice is the perfect match for his all-acoustic orchestra, layering traditional Cuban rhythms with deep bass lines, jazzy horns, and his melodic guitar.
Glass Pumpkin Patch, League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, Meredith, NH, through Oct. 31 — League of New Hampshire Craftsmen glass blowers have created the 2019 batch of fabulous glass pumpkins. All pumpkins are for sale, and they make perfect seasonal gifts or home décor for anyone who loves autumn.
“Picture Everyone Naked” with Joey Rinaldi, Curtain Call, Stamford, CT, Oct. 19 — Storyteller and comedian Joey Rinaldi returns to Stamford to perform his new one-man show “Picture Everybody Naked.” Joey tells personal and cringe-worthy tales from his life, from his first kiss to the time he got booed off stage. No matter how many painful memories you may have, Joey has more.
A Cappella Competition at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Boston MA, Oct. 19- 20 — Over 40 of the best a cappella groups in New England will entertain audiences as they duel it out in the Marketplace. The group represent colleges and singing groups from across New England. They will sing for a panel of judges and compete for a chance at the winning title and a cash prize.
RiverFire Festival 2019, Northern Forest Heritage Park, Berlin, NH., Oct. 19 — Riverfire presents fun activities for all ages, including an an ATV Poker Run, hot air balloon and hay rides, a Halloween costume parade and a not-so-scary Halloween party. At dusk the Androscoggin River is set aglow with the spectacular RiverFire lighting ceremony and jack-o-lanterns on the bridge.
