When hard times happen, New England people join hands and push back. Rock My Soul, a New Hampshire roots-based, raise-the-rafters gospel group, has spent months recording a Christmas album from singers’ homes. It is OUT! Need Joy?
Since 2004, Rock My Soul has been known in northern New England as a rafters-raising, top-notch roots and gospel choir, working with some of the best musicians in the business: Dan Maclellan on bass, Mike “eff” Effenberger on keys, Matt Langley on sax, Zach Lange on trumpet, Rob Kneeland on drums, and Bob Halperin on slide/blues guitar.
In late November, Rock My Soul released a digital Christmas album full of big voices, spirited harmonies packed with R&B/rocking/blue-eyed soulful/roots-based goodness.
